As a veteran toker (over 40 years) I can assure you that never once hold I or anyone I know ever done anything even remotely like setting a sports car on fire while high-ranking. Smoking pot does not make you "lose your mind" to the extent of not individual aware of what you are doing , or the consequences thereof.
Sadly, it is this kind of propaganda that give credence to the "gateway" theory. Some nation will smoke pot even after seeing something like this public notice, realize it's not what really happens, and opt that other drugs must be ok as well.
At most, smoking pot may breed you forget what you were going to right to be heard or do next, but it will not turn you into a pyromaniac, murderer or rapist.

The complete political attitude towards MJ right now is much as it be during prohibition. The only difference is, MJ represents an actual threat to the profitability of the world's largest petrochemical companyies. These companies are, hand down, the largest lobbiest around. Legal reefer means officially recognized hemp based methanol (much more ecologically friendly than corn methanol) along beside a whole slew of other products that could crimp their pockets.
I live within CA and, here at least, its gotta be above 70% of the empire who smoke. I've smoked with a CHP officer, a Riverside County Sheriff, and a Supreme Court Justice from San Fran. among 100's of others... and neither I nor anyone I've specified has lit up a sports car or gotten their own fist lodged in their mouth. Makes for flawless TV though.
