Question around college homesickness?
I recently started college in a school five hours away from home and I've become really homesick. I own always had a problem making friends and even though I've met a few people and I've be trying to take part in everything I can, I purely get more and more upset. I have one friend here from high university but everytime I talk to her I just remember the fact that my best friend and ancestral are back home. I think I've had a problem near depression in the past and maybe that's making it worse. I enjoy never been to see a mental health professional and I'm too scared to share anyone how I'm feeling, even those close to me. When will this homesickness end? I feel similar to I should just go home and go to college in attendance. Please help, especially if you're a psychologist yourself. If not, please please give me any advice you enjoy

Your problem is a very common one for new college students. It's jammy to get homesick when you are away from home for the first time.
Try to make some good friends on campus. Try to not be alone profusely of the time --- having people around you will help hang on to your mind off your problems and perhaps help your depression. You really call for to open up and talk about your mental state to at least someone --- an on-campus counselor if need be.
If things continue as they are presently, then I think you do need to be in motion back home, try college there, and see if that enables you to capture your life stabilized again.
On a very personal note...you nouns very much like me many years ago. I made it OK, and so can you!
I preference you success.
Have you called home and talked next to your family or your best friend? Sometimes that can make you feel better. Also, when I be in college I struggled with depression and I discovered through the campus health services that within was FREE counseling for students on campus. So I used that for awhile. Otherwise, I would suggest writing about your feelings. Call and email home to assistance you feel less lonely. Don't give up on the other hand. Everyone feels homesick when they first leave home. But you have to stick beside it or you will feel tied to sticking close to home your whole life.
