Oh love, its okay things will pick up for you.
I'm 17 as well, and was diagnosed beside depression about a year ago.
I find the only thing that help is talking about it, so feel free to email me if you'd similar to.
I'm sure you look just fine, and you shouldn't be insecure about the way you look. You are who you are on the inside, and to anyone who matter, that's all the matters.
:)
best wishes
You need to get set up near a counselor at school if possible, you have deeply going on, but most of all the best thing I can tell you is that you call for to toughen up, the decisions you make now will affect your natural life, so make the right ones.
I know how you are feeling.
I am 17 also and have been suffering from depression since I be 14.

You may have depression, as it is a feeling that occurs over a few weeks and doesn't simply last for a day.

Having a problem with your eye would not assist your mood.
It's good that you have stopped drinking alcohol.
If you feel self-conscious and want fix your eye, afterwards I think you need to have the surgery beside a confident frame of mind.
Do not try to have an operation while you are feeling depressed.
It will just form things worse, trust me.

It would not help that depression is a part of your family history and that your mother suffers from a mood disorder.
You involve to try and speak to someone you trust, whether that is your dad or someone else in your family.
You can't in recent times keep this under your skin. But well done for coming on here and chitchat about it, that is a big step and a good style to get something off your chest.

I also know that it can be hard to take home friends when you aren't 100% confident about your appearance.
I was born with a facial condition which have succeeded in dashing my confidence and self esteem, and it has also made me nervous roughly speaking meeting new people.
But no issue how hard it sounds, you have to try and get out within and make new friends.
Loneliness doesn't help anybody, and will one and only make your feelings of depression worse.
It will be difficult to motivate yourself, but it is worth making new friends within order to feel better and become more social.

Do you have any hobbies or things you resembling to do, such as listening to music?
These can really help in taking your mind bad things.
Exercise is good in relieving stress and tension, but if you own a sore ankle it is probably not good to do strenuous exercise.
Swimming is a gentle exercise which shouldn't put much pressure on your ankle, and it is a great way to relax.

Medications don't serve everybody, but I think it's important that you talk to someone.
I own been on anti-depressants for about three years now, they do comfort a little but everybody is different and you have to discover what is best for you.
Even if your dad is always at work I'm sure he'd listen to something as serious as this.
I suggest you chitchat to him openly and honestly. He may be able to help you.

Take guardianship, I'm always ready to talk.
Hope I help a little.

Awe hun, I'm sorry about adjectives of this.
I think it's better to get it off of your chest, so by adjectives means do that. Whether it be to us online, a pastor, or a random person on the bus.
I know it's complex, but try to think of the good.
You're alive and breathing. Believe it or not, that could be a starter... :-)
God bless you, and I hope everything works out for the best.
