Eating disorder effects?

I have had anorexia for quite a while presently, good two years at least I think. I havent have my period since before last christmas, can you for good lose your periods or do they always come back ? x
Answers:
Yes, it is possible to forever lose your periods. Loss of your periods (temporary or permanent) is called amenorrhea. This method that you have low hormone levels and your low calorie consumption has cause your reproductive system to shut down. Some people, even after recovering from their eating disorders, are unable to own children.
Since your periods also strengthen your bones, when you lose your periods, this can cause an increased risk of osteoporosis or osteopenia, and almost other results in lowered bone density.
