Why do some ancestors next to matching mental disorder qualify for disability whilst others don't?
Now it is said that some people with alike diagnosis don't always qualify. How come?
Answers:
Depends how much it impacts your life i guess
It depends on how severe the symptoms are, if they can be treated effectively with medication, and if you can head a normal life while medicated and treated.
For example, my mom and I both have bipolar disorder. She's be on disability for years, was for as long as I can remember, however when I attempted to get SSI I was denied. It be for the better, for me, because now I have a full time job and am doing much better than I would own on disability.
So it really depends on the severity of the symptoms.
If the mental disorder they have can harm others or themselves, that's when they can be placed on disability. It depends on the number of years of diagnosis and rank. As well as, any other health problems, financial difficulty and effects of prescribed drugs.
